GENERAL
The lighting system can be monitored by installing the E J SMART SAVER to achieve energy-savings of between 20% to 30%. The appropriate capacities of our E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment required for the various lighting and mixed load circuits are determined by measuring the practical current drawn by the loads connected.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment does not employ electronic components for its energy-saving mechanism but instead uses only electrical technology of high efficiency power transformation in monitoring the lighting and mixed loads. As a result of the technology employed, the E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment has an expected life-span of over 10 years.
The outdoor models of our E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment are specially designed to be weather-proof and the casing can be supplied with a security system, if so required. The equipment has all the necessary protection features in place thus rendering it very safe and secure.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment is connected in series with the load. The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment has a by-pass switch which allows any repairs, etc. to be carried out on the equipment without interrupting the operation of the lighting and mixed load systems.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment is very suitable indeed as a load monitoring system which can provide the end-user with energy-saving of between 20% to 30%. The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment also helps to decrease the failure rate of the light fittings, window and split-unit air-conditioners, etc. as well. For optimum efficiency, each light fitting is rated for a normal operating current. However, as a consequence of the higher current flowing through the circuit that is beyond control, the light fittings operate at a higher operating current and this brings about energy losses. The optimum operating current results in energy consumption levels being twenty to thirty per cent (20% to 30%) lower in comparison to the normal operating current. In other words, a twenty to thirty per cent (20% to 30%) saving in energy consumption can be attained using this principle.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment is constructed of electrical parts and components which are strong, hardy and durable in comparison to electronic systems. Some of the key parts and components used are copper-wound coils, MCB / MCCB, control switches and HRC fuses. These parts and components are indeed very durable and there is hardly any maintenance aspect during their life-span. Furthermore, relevant precautions have been taken to safe-guard the E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment from external hazards and as such, the equipment life-span has been considerably enhanced and can be expected to be in excess of ten (10) years.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment has a two-year Warranty against manufacturing defects. RELIABILITY :
As a result of the type of electrical technology used and the very strong and durable interior parts and components and exterior casing, the E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment is highly dependable. The failure rate of the equipment is indeed very minimal and negligible. The ability of our E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment to operate constantly and consistently for 24 hours a day and its aging process also does not affect the performance of our equipment.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment is indeed very durable with an expected life-span of over ten (10) years. The highest possible level of quality control is observed where the parts, components, internal wiring, mounting, etc., of our equipment is concerned. The casing of our equipment is constructed out of fourteen (14) gauge CRCA sheet and is stove enamel painted.
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment is passive to all other equipment, devices, etc. present in the same area or location where it has been installed. By virtue of the E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment only controlling the power supply to the various lighting and mixed load circuits, the equipment does not have any material effect on other equipment, devices, etc., used.
Apart from the expected 20% to 30% saving in the energy consumption for the lighting and mixed loads, the E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment also improves the life span of the light fittings, etc. in the various circuits. In other words, the failure rate of the light fittings, etc. is reduced resulting in a saving in the cost of replacement for light fittings, etc. The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment also reduces the maximum demand by monitoring the lighting and mixed loads to an optimum level. Dangers related to high voltage are also avoided with the use of our E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment.
The cost of the E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment will be quoted on a per KVA basis. The cost per KVA varies between the Lighting and Mixed Loads, the latter being higher. In addition to the equipment cost, there will also be an additional cost for ancillary equipment for monitoring, etc. The installation and commissioning costs finally make up the Total Project Cost.
Assuming the lighting load is 10Kw, the energy consumed without our E J SMART SAVER energy-saving equipment in the circuit will be :
E (Kw-Hr) = 10Kw x 24hrs = 240 KwH
Therefore, the average monthly saving
= 240 KwH x 25% (average saving achieved) x 30 days = 1800 KwH
. WORKING PRINCIPLE / TECHNOLOGY
The E J SMART SAVER range of energy-saving equipment employs the principle of high efficiency power transformation using a special type of copper wound coil. The Internal Connection (Internal Wiring) Diagram is shown in our product promotional material but the Internal Winding of the copper coil is classified. The copper wound coil is introduced into the circuit with other controls to set up our energy-saving equipment for best results.
