Finished her MBBS from MMC in 1975, joined Government of Tamilnadu Service in P H C  Chockampatti, E S I Tiruvottiyur, Minjur, Govt. Hospital Ponneri. Did her MS (Anatomy) in Madras Medical College in 1989, worked as Assent. Professor in Anatomy in Madras Medical College, Stanley Medical College Madras, Govt. A A P V Medical College Trichy. Promoted as Reader and posted in Govt. M K Medical College Salem, later to Stanley Medical College, Chennai. Left Govt. service in 2000. Joined as partner in the firm in April 2001.
